Good morning barrel racers. The board has worked hard coming up with a solution to get the circuit running the same months again. Next year can be included in banquet.

🐴Here is what will happen for the 23-24 circuit

💥The September 23rd and October 14th show will be run for both circuits.

💢you can run for this year circuit, next year circuit or both.

🔸one entry fee if only running one circuit and double entry fee for upcoming circuit

✅We feel this is better then running another short circuit and we can get back to normal.

BARREL SHOW RULES

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY MEMBER TO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THE SHOW RULES AND CHECK POINTS. YOU MAY ONLY APPROACH ANNOUNCER DURING DRAGS OR RING CHANGEOVER. NO RIDER OR REPRESENTATIVE ALLOWED IN ANNOUNCER'S BOOTH. VIOLATION OF THIS RULE WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF POINTS OR FORFEITURE OF JACKPOT MONIES FOR THE NIGHT. DISPUTES TO BE HANDLED AFTER SHOW.

1. POSSE GENERAL RULES GOVERN ALL SHOWS

2. All riders must be members of Palm Beach Posse Inc. Membership in Palm Beach Posse, Inc. is a privilege right. Behavior which is damaging to our Club or its membership will NOT be tolerated. Violation of any are subject a member to disqualification from PBP events, loss of points, suspension or expulsion from thé

3. Everyone on grounds agrees to abide by the rules and decisions of the Board Any act of discourtesy, swearing, obscenity, arguing with officials, judges, spectators, any act of indecency, by owners, riders, and guests, parents or grooms, will cause disqualification and expulsion from grounds. A rider is responsible accompanying them that shows unsportsmanlike conduct or breaks any PBP rules. Rider can be disqua the show or future shows as determined by the Board, and members, and forfeits entry fees and points.

4. NOTE ALL RULES SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PBP BOARD.

6. The Board reserves the right to decline any membership, entry fee and/or retain any entry fees.

7. You may only approach the announcer during drags or ring changeover. no rider or representative allow announcer’s booth. violation of this rule will result in loss of points or forfeiture of jackpot monies for the disputes to be handled after the show.

8. Appropriate show attire: Helmets are mandatory for all riders under 16 years of age both in the ring and mounted outside of the ring. Shirts without sleeves must have collars. Collarless shirts must have sleeve muscle cuts, raglan, or or cap sleeves) NO MIDRIFFS OR HALTER-TOPS. NO TANK TOPS. Shirts mu buttoned and be long enough to be tucked into pants. Full length pants, boots or approved footwear mus Questionable clothing is a cause for immediate disqualification or NO TIME, at the discretion of the Boar QUESTION IF APPAREL IS APPROPRIATE – ASK before riding.

9. Entry for all classes is through Saddlebook online. Payment is due at time of entry..

10. Severe weather, poor arena conditions or lack of ridership may result in the Show being canceled at the the Board. If all divisions finish three (3) events, it will be considered a complete show with no monies re divisions finish two (2) events, a make-up show rescheduled will be at the discretion of the Board. Make. would be decided at the next Board Meeting.

11. If a horse is unable to continue due to injury or illness, the rider will be charged $7.00 for each event co having ridden 3 events before injury or illness, no monies will be refunded, as 3 events are considered a show

12. The Board may disqualify any horse/rider for cruelty or safety issues. All monies will be forfeited. Owner must ALWAYS maintain their animals in a manner that is safe to spectators and other exhibitors.

13. Riders must be ready to enter the ring when announced. Riders have the choice to start their ride in the from the alleyway.

14. Riders will have a 60 second gate call to get their horse in the arena. The gate call is from the time ride announced to the time they go through the gate. If a rider cannot get through the gate in the 60 second t rider will receive a NO TIME and the next rider will be called. NO EXCEPTIONS.

15. Re-rides will be allowed due to malfunction of the timer or other PBP equipment. No re-rides for missed broken tack.

16. No rider shall be tied, buckled or fastened in the saddle by any manner or means except by Velcro. Rut may be attached to the bottom of boots and stirrups area. Stirrups must be the proper length for the ride

17. NO double-riding.

18. No dismounting of horses in any fashion once you’ve crossed the timer and are still in the arena. Unles: specifically calls for a dismount, you will be disqualified.

19. A 5 second penalty per barrel or pole knocked over is added to the rider’s time. Hairpin barrel knocked horse out of bounds result in NO TIME. Any deviation of the pattern or no forward motion results in NO 1 Board determines the rider intentionally knocks over apparatus, points will be lost for the night. 20. Year End Awards presented to top 6 riders in all divisions. The tie-breaker for the game show event will random from a hat by the Barrel Director for the run-off event. The results of that run-off will determine th To be eligible for Year End awards a rider must have ridden in 1 more than half of the scheduled shows, classes within their eligible division per show.

21. All game show riders must pay a $50.00 awards fee or work 6 volunteer hours at the show to be eligible awards. Awards fees will be due in April. Riders or parents must check in and sign in and out upon comp volunteering at each show. A parent or sibling may volunteer on behalf of the rider.

22. All Riders must be PBP Members in good standing to earn points. Membership Day Pass ($10) a

29. Riders may ride as many horses as they would like, however, only the highest pacing horse in ea will receive points.

30. A rider will receive a No-time for knocking over a barrel, or hitting the timer line before completing pattern. In the event of a timer failure to start or stop, the rider will be offered a re-ride. Re-rides w given in the event of a fall by horse or rider or tack malfunction.

GAMES SHOW:

31. If less than 32 riders attend a show, classes must have 4 riders to qualify for daily award of trophy ribbon. If class does not meet this requirement, daily awards will consist of ribbons only.
